Milwaukee Attractions
On the other end of the cultural spectrum lie the breweries that made Milwaukee famous. The Miller Brewery offers free tours and tastings to visitors. The Pabst Mansion, the home of the beer baron responsible for Pabst Blue Ribbon, is located on the Grand Avenue of Mansions. Milwaukee is also home to dozens of smaller independently owned breweries, such as the Lakefront Brewery, the Sprecher Brewing Company, and Cedar Creek Winery. Sports fans will also enjoy their visit to Milwaukee, which is home to several professional sports teams, including the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks and MLB's Milwaukee Brewers.

Milwaukee's attractions range from the high-brow (museums) to the low-brow (beer), which means that no visitor to the area will go unentertained. The Milwaukee Art Museum is perhaps the most famous of Milwaukee's museums, with its newly built brise soleil, a movable wing-like feature of the building that opens and closes, depending on the time of day or the weather. Inside the museum is an impressive permanent collection, including works of German Expressionism, folk and Haitian art, post-1960 American art, and a large number of works from American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. America's Black Holocaust Museum, the only museum dedicated to the victims of slavery in the United States, is also located in Milwaukee.
